I am trained as an individual, couple, and family therapist. I earned a Master of Arts degree from Antioch University – Seattle (COAMFT Accredited), majoring in Psychology: Child, Couple & Family Therapy. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Psychology from Bastyr University.
I have experience providing individual, couple, family, and group therapy to children, teens, and adults. My educational background includes an intentional focus on multicultural awareness and diversity training. Therefore, my practice is culturally inclusive.
My approach to therapy is based on the belief that everyone has an innate capacity for healing and growth. I believe that our physical, social, and emotional functioning is interdependent with other systems in our life, including Family of Origin (caregivers & siblings), Family of Choice (partners & friends), and other aspects of daily living (jobs, hobbies, etc.).
In addition to individual, couple, and family therapy, my experience includes providing outpatient counseling services at a mental health agency, providing crisis support, facilitating group therapy and classes, facilitating parenting support groups, and working at the The Gottman Institute.
I am a Washington State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT). In addition, I am a PREPARE/ENRICH Facilitator.
